A Golden Buckskin Gelding Built for Good Days, Great Rides, and Lasting Confidence

A Gelding Who Quietly Exceeds Every Expectation

If your goal is to set yourself up for nothing but good days in the saddle, Goode is the kind of gelding who will quietly exceed every expectation. This striking golden buckskin is an own son of Gallo Del Cielo, the legendary $5.8 million NRHA, NRCHA, and NCHA sire. Because his pedigree is synonymous with lasting quality and proven performance, Goode carries the structure, substance, and presence that immediately stand out. His correct conformation, substantial build, masculine expression, and kind, intelligent eye make a lasting impression the moment he steps out of the stall.

Steady, Honest, and Confidence‑Building for Every Rider

Goode is exceptionally steady, honest, and confident, which instantly settles his rider. Moreover, he offers a level of safety and consistency that is increasingly rare. Nothing rattles him—he is stoic to the core, the kind of gelding who would walk through fire for you. When everything else falls apart, he’s the second‑in‑command you call. For example, in August 2025, when youth rider Hannah Smith suddenly needed a mount for the Inland Empire Buckskin Horse Association Show, Goode took the call. Despite having been turned out for months, he stepped in and carried her to wins and placings in Ranch Trail, Halter, Showmanship, and more. He heard the call and came to the rescue.

From first‑time riders to seasoned horsemen, he provides a dependable, confidence‑building ride. With patience and generosity, he has taught beginners to lope, spin, and side‑pass with ease. Additionally, he offers smooth turnarounds, an easy lead change, and a cadenced way of moving that makes him simple to maneuver, move forward, and stop. Showing him in Ranch Versatility events has been a joy.

A True Ranch and Trail Partner With Real‑World Experience

Outside the arena, Goode excels on the trail and around the ranch. He is quiet, sure‑footed, and thoughtful over varied terrain, water crossings, and cattle work. Furthermore, he enjoys riding through busy streets and even hanging out at the local bakery. He has carried green riders into the mountains, helped on cattle drives, and rides out alone with confidence when the group leaves. Because of his reliability and work ethic, he would be a prized ranch‑foreman horse. He has spent countless hours gathering and sorting cattle and even enjoys a bareback sunset ride.

Versatile, Athletic, and a Pleasure to Ride

Goode combines a calm, unflappable demeanor with natural athleticism, making him ideal for both competitive and family programs. His show record reflects his versatility, with blue ribbons across ranch classes from walk‑trot through amateur levels. He is silky smooth at the jog, expressive and balanced in the extended trot, soft in the bridle, correct in his lateral work, and beautifully shaped in both slow and fast circles. Additionally, he possesses the focus and cow sense of a seasoned reined cow horse. His consistency is equally impressive—he takes time off and rides back as though he never missed a day.

A Fancy, Accomplished Head Horse With Real Ability

As a rope horse, Goode is accomplished and fancy. He will teach a lower‑number roper the “ropes” or fit seamlessly into a higher‑numbered rider’s string. He scores respectfully, rates cattle well, and offers a nice handle and face. Because of his willingness and feel, he makes every run smooth and enjoyable.

A Gentleman With Impeccable Manners and Rare Quality

With impeccable ground manners and a true gentleman’s disposition, Goode elevates every barn he enters. Opportunities to acquire a son of Gallo Del Cielo with this level of disposition, training, and genuine usability are rare. Goode is dependable, unmistakably special, and built with enduring quality.

He is sound and has cleared our high veterinary standards with radiographs and is current on dental, worming, and farrier care. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any questions and would like to schedule a time to ride him here at our ranch.
