Modelo is a genuinely fun, all-around, money-winning Head, Heel, and breakaway gelding who excels every single day! A user-friendly gelding scores and rates exceptionally well and has a neat move in the corner and across the pen with a nice face. Modelo sits on a pedestal for us, and this fall, he was our eight-year-old niece’s mount; he took care of her, did not get frazzled, and was so very patient with her. At the end of their rides, he could be found falling asleep in her arms. He has an above-average disposition.

Easy to maneuver. When you rein him, he is in your hand and responds to leg pressure. You and the family will enjoy strolling through the crowd and on the trails. 

Modelo goes where you point him, and he will let you pack your lunch and eat it horseback. He has the absolute country-traveling flat-footed walk. On the trails, he will cross water, bridges, and logs without being bothered by tractors, bikes, four-wheelers, and great out camping. If you are looking for that buddy of a horse to go and ride out on the ranch solo, you will love Modelo. As a real ranch horse, he has branded and doctored cattle, used to work buffalo, and gathered across mountain pastures. He is one you always feel safe on when you’re in those tight spots. He is trained to curbside to mount. We appreciate that he stays trained and gentle and does not require steady riding; you can catch him once a month, and he is the same horse you rode the previous ride.
