Once is a story that never ends and always has a happy ending.

Once is a story that never ends and always has a happy ending. His black, regal coat gleams in the sunlight, highlighting refined features, a powerful hip, and a balanced, athletic frame. Because he carries such unmistakable presence, he turns heads, commands attention, and quietly assures you that you are sitting on something truly special. From the moment you swing a leg over him, he offers a level of confidence that only an exceptional gelding can give. Whether stepping into the show pen, roping at any level, or simply enjoying a relaxing ride, he consistently takes care of his rider with honesty, class, and reliability.

His extraordinary disposition is what truly sets him apart. In addition to being talented, he is the definition of a patient teacher—kind, forgiving, and calm in every situation. For example, he has confidently taught our ten‑year‑old niece, along with other riders, how to rope the sled, perform basic reining maneuvers, and navigate trails safely. Moreover, he never rushes, never overreacts, and never intimidates. Instead, he quietly matches himself to the level of his rider while protecting them every step of the way. As a result, first‑time Cowboys and Cowgirls gain a rare sense of security that allows them to relax, learn, and build confidence without fear. His quiet mind and steady nature make him the kind of horse families trust and professionals deeply respect.

His pedigree adds even more value.

Once is a son of the $18‑million sire Gunnatrashya and out of a champion‑producing daughter of One Time Pepto. Consequently, he carries the genetics needed to excel at the highest levels. He is a 2026 AQHA World Show Amateur Qualifier in the Heeling, with Open qualification well within reach, and he is paid into the Royal Crown Incentive. As a heel horse, he is fancy yet forgiving, keeping his shoulders up, staying free through the turn, and finishing with a cool, correct move that makes him enjoyable to rope behind. In the Breakaway, he flatters his rider with consistent timing and position.

Once is also a talented cow horse. Furthermore, he rides beautifully in the bridle with easy lead changes, smooth slide stops, correct spins, and a light, responsive feel. His expression and cadence make him a standout in Ranch Versatility classes. Because he combines athleticism with a calm mind, he transitions easily between events.

Versatile, Talented, and Ranch‑Ready

Outside the arena, Once is a pleasure to ride and own. He travels quietly alone or in a group, walks home on a loose rein, and confidently crosses water and timber. Additionally, he enjoys long trail rides and handles new environments with ease. On the ranch, he is dependable and honest. He mounts curbside, side passes to open and close gates, and stays the same even with time off. His consistency and calmness make him a reliable partner for riders who value safety and ease.

Confident, Seasoned, and Trail‑Proven

Trail riding is one of his strongest qualities. Even in varied terrain, he stays steady, sure‑footed, and attentive. Water, bridges, logs, and uneven ground are crossed with confidence. Moreover, he remains focused and relaxed, making him enjoyable for riders who want a dependable partner. His ability to stay consistent after time off is one of his most appreciated traits.

Gentle, Social, and Easy to Live With

Once thrives on connection and attention. In addition to being talented, he is calm, steady, and easy to handle in every setting. He gets along well with other horses and maintains excellent manners. Riders appreciate how he stays consistent, even after time off, and how he approaches each day with a willing attitude. His kindness and reliability make him a barn favorite.
