Yogi is the kind of gelding who stops you in your tracks before you even realize you’re staring.

His rich‑colored dun coat, burnished golden glow, and sculpted, expressive features make him gorgeous from every angle. Because he carries himself with quiet, magnetic confidence, he feels both powerful and comforting. His soft teddy‑bear eyes make everyone fall instantly in love, and his presence alone tells you he is something extraordinary. Mr. Flawless, Mr. Perfect, Mr. What‑More‑Could‑You‑Want — Yogi is all of it wrapped into one remarkable gelding.

His temperament is equally exceptional. Beginner‑ and kid‑proof, yet talented enough for a professional, Yogi adjusts instantly to the rider on his back.

The littlest kids, the greenest adults, and the seasoned competitors all feel safe, capable, and confident on him. Additionally, as a son of Ruf Lil Magnum, he continues his sire’s legacy with intelligence, trainability, and a naturally stylish way of going.

In the heeling, Yogi is outstanding. He rates and reads a cow with precision, has an exceptional corner, and puts his rider exactly where they need to be for the winning shot. His stop is deep, smooth, and correct. Behind a barrier, he is honest and consistent, taking low‑number ropers to the pay window while giving high‑number ropers the speed, timing, and responsiveness they need. As a head horse, he is equally impressive — free, forward, and stylish with a clean move across the pen. Chad would keep him in his personal string without hesitation.

In the show pen, Yogi is a judge’s favorite. He has that “it factor” — beautiful circles, effortless lead changes, correct spins, and sliding stops that make him stand out in Ranch Riding and Versatility classes. Moreover, his movement is fluid, soft, and classy, the kind that makes people stop and watch.

On the trails and ranch, Yogi is the ultimate partner. From mountain trails to sandy, rocky desert country, he is confident, willing, and unbothered. He curb‑side mounts from anywhere, loves trips to town for coffee and cookies, and can sit for long stretches yet saddle off exactly the same. Bareback to check the mail? Absolutely — he is your guy. His consistency, willingness, and calm mind make him enjoyable in every environment.

Versatile, Talented, and Ranch‑Ready

Yogi transitions seamlessly between roping, ranch work, and show‑pen events. His cow sense, willingness, and natural feel make him a reliable partner for riders who want a horse capable of excelling in multiple disciplines. Additionally, he adapts easily to different riders and situations, which adds tremendous value to any program.

Confident, Seasoned, and Trail‑Proven

Trail riding is one of his strongest qualities. He stays steady, sure‑footed, and attentive in varied terrain. Water, bridges, logs, and uneven ground are crossed with confidence. Moreover, he remains relaxed and focused, making him enjoyable for riders who want a dependable partner. His ability to stay consistent after time off is one of his most appreciated traits.

Gentle, Social, and Easy to Live With

Yogi is gentle, social, and exceptionally easy to handle. His calm, steady nature makes him enjoyable in every setting. He stands quietly for grooming, bathing, clipping, and saddling. Riders appreciate how he stays consistent, even after time off, and how he approaches each day with a willing attitude. His kindness and reliability make him a barn favorite.
