Papa Smurf is one classy, unique and fun individual! Registered in the AQHA APHA and American roan horse association. Smurf is sired by a money earning and producing son of Chic Please (2 million dollar sire). Smurf has earned $1100 in the cow horse, he has been shown in all of the versatility ranch horse classes, and used as a ranch horse in the Texas Panhandle. This gelding has more tools in his wheel house than you could ever need. He is the definition of broke!

Smurf is 14.2 hands of striking blue color with two bright beautiful blue eyes!

 this horse will captivate your attention his his strong presence, inquisitive and smart demeanor and kind, gentle heart.

He is a blast to ride in or out of the arena, even in rough terrain, he crosses rivers and creeks quietly without any hesitation and will carefully navigate up and down steep rocky hills. We have ponied numerous colts off of him and put all kinds of riders on him. Our 8yr old daughter Saylor frequently rides smurf English and has even taken him over some small jumps. We have had him around gun fire heavy machinery and traffic and he stays cool as a cucumber!

He’s solid and safe no matter the task. Smurf is a gorgeous and easy mover making him not only enjoyable to ride all day but a standout in the Ranch riding classes! His jog is smooth and his long trot is breathtaking! He has quiet lead departures, a good lead change, beautiful circles and a big ground eating stop! His spins are flawless fast or slow and he is honest enough to teach any new rider the ropes of the show world! Smurf is also great down the fence and has a stylish move in the boxing. He is also good in the steer stoping. He is just so willing and versatile there’s not much you can’t do on him and he will truly make any rider look good with in any discipline!

We have also used Smurf for the ranch duties, he’s drug calves, sorted and shipped hundreds of cattle and is the go to for our kids to use when gathering. To top it all off, he’s trained to curbside mount making him super handy to get on from anywhere, making it easy for our little girl to climb on and go for a ride bareback through the pastures. This horse is a blast to ride no matter what you’re doing and we have cherished every second we’ve gotten with him! He is one of the most FUN horses we own!
