The best part about Freedom is, hands down, his kind demeanor and willingness to please. We have not ridden him for months, and he is safe to saddle up and ride right off on. Freedom is universal in and out of the arena for the entire family! Also makes mounting easy, and he is trained to curbside mount. He is loaded with personality!
We have shown Freedom in the Ranch Classes, and he is a point earner in the Ranch Trail! If you’re looking for your next partner in the APHA and Ranch Versatility Events in the Ranch Riding, Ranch Pleasure, and the Ranch Trail- LOOK no further! He screams “FUN” and performs all maneuvers and obstacles willingly. Freedom is a very collected loper and has a cool Texas trot, beautiful circles, and fluid transitions. He is also gorgeous in the English saddle and one who could excel at fox hunting or horse shows! He has been ridden in parades and carried flags and is hard to ruffle his feathers.
He has been extensively used on the trails through some of the roughest countries in the western United States and is very confident. Freedom will ride off alone or be quiet with horses in a group. Rivers, creeks, bicycles, buffalo, equipment, four-wheelers, wild game, gunfire he does it all and so patiently. He has been on overnight and weekly camp trips in the mountains. If he is not sleeping in your tent, he is more than likely waiting not far from you. He is a true BUDDY. A complete breeze to ride in town, even with the chaos and traffic. Also, he is a staple around the ranch, ponying colts (he would excel if you’re looking for a racetrack pony), gathering, sorting pens, and branding, and with his smooth covering stride, he is the most comfortable checking pastures and opening and closing gates.
He gets along well with other horses, hauls well, and has impeccable ground manners. He is really fun and stays tried and true even with lengthy time off. Freedom is just as pretty on the inside as he is out – kind, good-minded, really forgiving, and really takes care of his rider. He is always looking for attention and affection.
