Garfield; is an exceptionally talented 6-year-old, flashy red roan gelding out of
Magneticat, an own son of Metallic Cat. He is a proven performance horse in the team
roping and breakaway roping and is also great on the ranch. He is one of those you love
to have around because you know you can get any job done. His gentle disposition and
kind personality make him easy to be around. He is a quick learner and gives 100%
every time at whatever he is doing. He is currently being competed on in the breakaway
in the Columbia River Pro Rodeo Circuit. He has won money heeling in the open
jackpots down. Garfield Is an open-level heel horse but will adapt to low-numbered
ropers. Garfield is solid in the box, breaks hard and flat, and has a big amount of run
and a large stop. His cow-bred bloodlines would also make him a great sorting or team
penning horse. Garfield will walk through water, walk over tarps, go over logs, carry
flags, and always willing to try new obstacles. Garfield travels well outside and is great
at ranch work. In the branding pen he puts his head down and goes to work. He is Riata
Buckle Eligible. Garfield's sire is a derby-winning reining cow-horse in the NRCHA. He
is a grandson of Metallic Cat who is a 52+ million-dollar sire. On the bottom-side
Garfield is a great-grandson of Smart Little Lena, who is the second leading cutting sire
of all time and a great-grandson of Autumn Boon who is the second greatest dam in the
cutting industry and produced 1.9 million in earners. Garfield is definitely “One Cool
Cat”…
