Like some of the hardest-to-find liquors, TPH’s Bourbon is a deep caramel, toasty, and richly dark buckskin that is smooth and very well-balanced.  And one we would just like to keep to ourselves in our “liquor” closet- he is unbelievable! Sired by Metallic Rebel (NCHA LTE $120,151, PE: $2,798,096) by NRHA & NRCHA Producer Shining Smart Remedy, daughter of Shining Spark. Bourbon is safe and approved for anyone and everyone. He’s a great builder of confidence who rides gently every time you saddle him. Bourbon is one we let the littles ride, and they feel confident aboard him.
Riata Buckle and Royal Crown are eligible, as he is truly top-shelf. He is a unique buckskin gelding with a black-type pedigree who just makes us smile every time we ride him. Rides like a reined cowhorse and a pretty mover to go and win at the Ranch Horse shows. Bourbon is happy and willing to do anything you want to accomplish on horseback, and the best part about him is he does it all relaxed and as slow or fast as his riders ask. A been there, done that kind of horse that’s the same day in and day out. His resume stands out! We have done it all with this guy from reining, cow horse, ranch riding, heading, heeling, ranch versatility, trail riding, cow work, breakaway bareback bridle-less, curb-side mounting, obstacles, roping; you name it, he has done it.
Bourbon is excellent on the mountain trails, as well as on deserted waters and trails lined with concrete. He has been on overnight trips in the mountains and is accustomed to seeing big game! He will go anywhere you point him, from creeks and rivers to logs and bridges to mud and steep hills and rough terrain. He is smooth and very comfortable to ride for hours & hours. Dependable to be the same – each day, every day with time off and handy in any situation. We have used him to gather cattle and buffalo; he will watch one in front of him as well. An honest citizen to doctor cattle and brand on.
