Here he is! A Palomino gelding that is as pretty as Barbie but as cool as Ken! Peanut is a kind, gentle, willing gelding that is still tremendously physical and talented. He is sired by the great Steppin on Sparks, who is an earner of $108, 000 in the NRHA. He is 8 years old and weighs in at 1200lbs and stands 15HH. Soft in the mouth, moves off leg pressure with ease, and is extremely fun to ride with his smooth lead departures, big stop, and great neck rein. He has a very nice correct turn around and is broke, broke, broke!Peanut is our first pick when it comes to jobs on the ranch. He is easy to catch and ready to go to work. He is sure footed across rough terrain, eases across water, and safe for whatever job you put in front of him. Peanut has been used on many pack trips to the mountains and is amazing on the trail, with his level head and smooth, relaxed, walk. We have doctored many yearlings, drug calves at brandings, sorted bulls, and whatever other jobs need to be done on the ranch. This gelding is not only a star on the ranch but also excels in the roping pen too! He has great rate and timing and will give you that same throw every time. He stands calm in the box and takes care of many levels of ropers. Our 7 and 8 year old kids have thoroughly enjoyed riding him. Peanut has been used on many pack trips to the mountains and is amazing on the trail, with his level head and smooth, relaxed, walk. He is the perfect family horse that is safe and reliable. Peanut is cool, classy, and a complete gentleman. He’s smart with his feet and can maneuver around with style. He is good for the farrier and the vet, and is also a great horse in the pasture, even in a mixed herd.
