Chad and Paje Purchased Austin when he was three to geld him for no particular reason, except they didn’t want the hassle that can come along with hauling and showing a stallion. It was something they agonized about because, well, just look at him – you’ll be hard-pressed to find a flaw. So, the decision was made to take it day by day, rodeo by rodeo, futurity by futurity, and show by show, and now years have passed. It never felt, nor did it ever feel, like they were hauling a stallion and never had to make special arrangements for Austin; he was just that good all the time. Everywhere he goes, compliments are always overwhelming; people are just drawn to him and want to meet and give him a pat, which he loves! This is one of the most complex decisions Paje has had to make, as she has repeatedly stated that Austin is her boy. Just one of the kindest and sweetest horses. He is exemplary in and out of the arena! With a proven foundation pedigree (Gallo Del Cielo, Smart Chic Olena, and Reminic). Gorgeous from every angle with a broad body, deep chest, powerful hip, low hocks, a movie star head with deep expressive eyes, and top it off, his rich golden buckskin color with flowing mane and tail. A money winner with a multitude of riders in various events here at TPH Austin, this horse embodies all-around Western performance. Additionally, he excels around the ranch and thoroughly enjoys a relaxing trail ride, whether alone or with a group. Quite possibly one of the NICEST Head and Tie Down Horse you’ll swing a leg over. He is great behind the barrier and solid in the box, really watches a cow, and puts you where you need to be to win. With a cowhorse foundation, He is the judge’s favorite; he is a site to be seen in the show pen. He is very smooth and easy to ride, with a rocking chair, lope, and an appealing extended trot! Austin is simple and easy to ride with or without a saddle. He has big stops, effortless lead changes, perfect speed control, lots of cow sense, and can hold the toughest one in the herd. Mr. Perfect is outside on the ranch. He is fantastic at sorting pens, opening gates, working the rope in the pasture, and is always willing and ready for a day’s work. Absolutely enjoyable on the trails. Just point and go. Austin has a fun, QUIET personality and a HUGE HEART. He has been hauled all over the US; he stalls, hauls, and ties next to other horses like an old gelding. The only place we can agree to sell our beloved stallion, Austin, is at our League of Legends Sale, because to us, he is legendary. This has been a gut-wrenching decision, as we love this gorgeous guy for so many reasons, and he deserves a barn full of mares to pass on his greatness.
